by Dick Mills on May 28, 2008
Let's face it...we all want our sons, who are Little League pitchers to succeed. We know that their success will be dependent on their ability to have good control with velocity so they are able to throw strikes and get hitters out. Are Baseball Coaches Encouraging Nonsensical Pitching Mechanics?
by Dick Mills on May 05, 2008
Are pitching coaches and instructors today encouraging pitching mechanics that make no sense and actually reduce pitching performance? For example, today pitchers are encouraged to take a step to the side first out of the wind-up as their first movement. But does that make any sense since a pitcher must move his body forward toward the target. Why would stepping to the side be encouraged? Read more.
The Best Tool For Improving A College Pitcher’s Velocity
by Dick Mills on May 01, 2008
Every college pitcher is looking to improve his pitching velocity. The large majority are throwing below 85 mph. For many an extra 3-6 mph of pitching velocity could mean not only much better performance but for some...it is a ticket to their dream...a chance to play pro baseball. Fortunately, there is tool that very few know about that can help most college pitchers improve their velocity without magic bullets such as long toss, hitting the weight room or more foolishness such as weighted baseballs. Those magic bullets do not work despite what coaches want players to believe. Read more.

How do pitchers improve by practicing something different than game pitching? Read more.
How Pitchers Can Easily Improve Velocity And Control
by Dick Mills on April 01, 2008
If pitchers want to improve pitching velocity they must improve speed of movement and momentum. This is also true for improving control.
