Most high school pitchers are frustrated because they feel they should be throwing with much higher velocity despite lifting weights, doing long toss, and/or using training aids. Not to mention nearly 50% of high school pitchers pitch with pain every year. Most are leaving 5-7 mph (or more!) in velocity on the mound.
Research has proven that neither weight lifting or long toss will improve pitching velocity… despite what most coaches are preaching. What we’ve learned from thousands of lessons and video analysis sessions, is most high school pitchers are losing velocity because of poor pitching mechanics… they do not know how to use their bodies to generate force and thus throw with just their arms. This reduces velocity substantially and adds to the high risk of arm injuries.
Using the latest sports science training principles and tools such as video analysis (ignored by most coaches at the high school level) we have designed our products to show pitchers, parents, and coaches the most effective and simplest methods to recognize mechanical faults and to show pitchers how to make adjustments so they can maximize their velocity and reach their full pitching potential.
