Who else wants to know how any pitcher can boost their velocity by at least 5-7 mph?
You Are About To Discover The Only Proven “Magic Bullet” To Boost Pitching Velocity And Reduce The Risk Of Injuries.
PLUS, See How You Can Compare Your Delivery Side-by-Side To A 95MPH+ Major League Pitcher
“Above is a side-by-side photo of Matt in the landing position which shows how far he’s come since you did his video analysis. At the time of the analysis my son was 15 years old and his fastball was topping out at around 83 mph. You pointed out several flaws in my son’s mechanics and told us exactly what needed to be corrected. My son saw his velocity climb steadily from 83 to 91 mph.”
“You guys give more constructive and meaningful feedback in 45 minutes than what every pitching instructor we’ve ever hired could give in 45 days!”
“Just wanted to let you guys know that after watching your Video Analysis, Kaleb has thrown about 100 pitches in two bullpen sessions within the last two days, all on his own accord, and saw immediate results. By simply ensuring his posting foot was flush with the rubber and taking less of a leg kick, he immediately started landing with an OPEN lead foot, which has haunted him for four years!
The result? His control went from “spastic” to “zoned in”! He felt confident he could now control the location of his pitches! This is a HUGE, and I mean HUGE breakthrough for him! To make things even brighter, I had coach nearby put his radar on him before and after his “adjustment”, and he went from 60 mph to 62 mph consistently, all at about 80% effort! He still has more work and more velocity in him, but this has been a great start!
The image above is a photo of Kaleb and I immediately after his All-Star Team won the Missouri State Championship! That was a great night!”
One Year Update:
“Just wanted to give you an update on my son Kaleb’s progress this year after having completed a video analysis with you last fall (his second straight year). In short, he has gone from from fighting for innings on his 14u select team (be is young enough to play 13u this year) to pitching a complete game one hitter this past weekend and establishing himself as the best pitcher on our team. You will be interested to know that, in my opinion, one of the key changes we made in his delivery was having him go exclusively to a slide step. He had been struggling with perfecting the timing of all his moving parts with a traditional leg kick out of stretch, and it showed in everything from velocity to control to effectiveness of off speed pitches, so we decided to try your theory of the slide step being just as powerful without a leg kick (although I had serious doubts) but simpler.
I have to say I’m stunned. Not only did he not lose velocity, he actually gained about 3 mph and his control is such that I no longer worry about him getting into trouble with walks. I can only assume that the simplified mechanics are allowing him to get out of the way of his natural throwing ability. I’m now convinced that a windup and even a stretch leg kick serves the pitcher no purpose other than to build a rhythm, which some kids really need to be right, but with Kaleb, he just needs to explode for momentum, get his body ready for landing and let it fly. It’s been an amazing transformation to watch!
He’s grown and developed so much I wouldn’t have believed it if someone had told me that 6 months ago, and I believe in him more than anyone. He’s entering his freshman year this fall and we will be signing up for another video analysis to keep the momentum going.
Thanks again for doing what you do!”
Dear Little League, High School, or College Pitcher and Parents,
My name is Ryan Mills, former pitcher for the Minnesota Twins , and what I am about to share with you is going to change your pitching life. I know that’s a bold promise, but it’s one I don’t say lightly. You see, I’ve been researching the biomechanics of pitching since 1996, and what I’m going to reveal to you is the #1 secret I’ve found, used, and helped pitchers like you succeed with since 1996. In fact, if there was only one thing I could take with me from my years of research, this would be it…
But before I tell you exactly what this secret is, I want to share something important with you…
Thousands of young pitchers are ruining their pitching careers right now simply because their instructors and coaches are not implementing evidence based biomechanical principles that must be followed in order to help pitchers improve.
Many instructors, even former professionals and pitching gurus, are giving out dangerous pitching advice about pitching mechanics that that WILL ruin your velocity, control, and ability to reach your full God-given pitching potential. Or even worse, ruin your arm. So don’t listen to instructors who don’t videotape or you’ll loose the most valuable gift ever.
Bill and Dr. Flesig opened up my eyes about the importance of proper pitching mechanics and why eyeballing a pitcher’s delivery could never produce an accurate assessment of his faults.
The Secret To Capturing The Fastest Motion In Sports Is…Video Analysis! Well ok, it’s not the best kept secret since that’s the name of the page you’re on right now, but don’t let that diminish exactly how important video analysis for taking your pitching to the next level…
In fact, anyone who tries to coach and give pitching advice using only the naked eye is at a huge disadvantage, because the naked eye isn’t fast enough to capture the fastest motion in sports. Unfortunately this is still how most pitching instruction is taught, but there’s a better way and it involves using video…
Today I’m not sure I could find an instructor whom I would feel totally confident listening to. Many still believe in long toss and pitching drills, and are not keeping up with the latest sports science research. Most instructors still don’t use video analysis, and for those that do, they often do so incorrectly, which can be worse.
Finding a mechanical fault is easy, but knowing the cause and effect is the key to long term success. Discovering the root cause is the first step. Once you understand the cause you must still understand how to fix those mechanical faults without disrupting the entire delivery. That’s where I come in to help you.
There’s a unique advantage of working with a former Triple A pitcher like myself.
First, how as a tall, skinny college pitcher I was able to throw a 96 mph fastball.
And second I learned a very tough lesson… why as a top pro prospect I ended up with a shoulder injury that ended my career, and how my experience can help you avoid the same fate.
I started helping my Dad with one-on-one lessons in January 2006. I spent three years learning his system before I did my first video analysis in early 2009, and I have been helping pitchers like you out since then. I’ll tell you more about our program in a minute, but I want you to see that our main goal for every analysis we do boils down to two things.
How to maximize your velocity and more importantly, how to avoid serious arm injury.
When I do pitching lessons, every session is videotaped and every student gets a video analysis where they are compared side-by-side to a top major league pitcher like Red Sox Daniel Bard who throws an easy 96-100 mph or Royals Cy Young award winner Zach Greinke who also hits 96-98 mph.
And I explain exactly how they do it.
Nothing gets a students attention better than having me a former Triple A pitcher explain how they can improve by being compared to an MLB pitcher who can throw 95 mph plus.
And now you can get the same exact benefits as someone who flies out for one on one pitching instruction from the comfort of your own home.
Using video allows me to slow down the pitching motion, go frame-by-frame so you can clearly see and spot any faults that aren’t allowing you to maximize velocity, and which could lead to injury down the road.
You will see why it’s impossible using just the naked eye…and why most pitching instructors who don’t videotape cannot possibly provide accurate feedback about a pitcher’s mechanics.
Here’s what you’ll receive with a video analysis, voiced over by me.
The 9 Steps To An Efficient Explosive Delivery, which identifies 21 movement elements of the delivery and which ones you need to work on.
Video Analysis Example 5We’ll compare you side-by-side to a top major league high velocity pitcher from each angle, so you fully understand how MLB pitchers are able to exercise proper movements with precise timing to maximize their velocity.
I’ll reveal the common faults that reduce force production and those that add stress to the arm, and show you which ones you have in your pitching delivery and how to change them.
Video Analysis Example 2Once you see your pitching motion with your own eyes, not only will you understand what needs to be changed better, but you’ll also have the motivation to make the necessary changes.
I’ll provide you with a logical plan for ongoing improvement, including the correct sequence for making your adjustments to make sure you are correcting what needs correcting while leaving natural actions alone.
At the end of the video we also include a set of movement drills designed specifically to help increase force production and the efficiency of your movements. All About Pitching has been online since August of 1996, and without a doubt the most common question I always get is “How can I improve my velocity?”The answer, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, is video analysis. Let me illustrate why with a couple examples. We’ve all heard the phrase, “He only throws with his arm” before, and instinctively know that this isn’t good. But do you know why, or how to fix it?One of my 16 year old students approached Red Sox flamethrower Daniel Bard before a Yankees game in New York last summer and asked him about how he created a 100 mph fastball.
Bard told him this: “It’s all about my back leg…”
Sandy Koufax, the hard throwing Hall of Fame lefty said this: “The back leg is the controlling authority. The single most important thing in pitching.” ( Sandy Koufax – A Lefty’s Legacy – Perenial – 2002 Leavy.)
Giants’ Cy Young award winner Tim Lincecum says this about his plus 90’s fastball: “My body does the work while my arm is along for the ride.”
It is clear that pitching velocity is not about the arm but instead about using the body to create energy while the arm is along for the ride to aid with ball control. So how can you get feedback on your mechanics to know whether you’re getting the most out of your back leg… the single most important action for maximizing velocity?
Did you know that most amateur pitchers mechanical errors occur before their front foot lands… which is well before the arm is even involved?
Guess how you can find these errors and correct them?
Yep, Video Analysis.
Using video allows us to slow down the pitching motion, so you can clearly see and spot what you need to change to maximize your velocity, and prevent injury down the road.
Many of you reading this are thinking “I already know I should use my legs to create momentum, and I don’t pitch with my arm, I use my body…”
Because of the many arm injuries that occur with MLB pitchers, it’s suggested that nearly 90% of MLB pitchers have faults that if known by video analysis could help reduce stress to their throwing arms… and could very well improve their overall performance.
Video taping is the only way you will be able to fully reach your highest potential. You have to visually see what you are doing wrong in order to fix something…
So Who IS Video Analysis For?
Little League Pitchers just starting out whose parents want to make sure they do not develop any bad habits early on that are more difficult to fix later or can lead to injury….
Little Leaguer Pitcher Analysis
High school pitchers who want to maximize their velocity and reduce the risk of injury so they can be noticed by college scouts and get that coveted scholarship…
High School Pitcher Analysis
College pitchers who have tried every thing to improve velocity but nothing has worked… and are ready to finally get consistent pitching results.
College Pitcher Video Analysis
Professional Pitchers who may have lost velocity and don’t know why or are having some arm problems.
Basically, Video analysis is for ANY pitcher who wants to know they are doing everything they can to maximize their pitching motion, and are serious about succeeding as a pitcher. In fact, I have done over 500 video analysis sessions of pitchers at all levels of baseball, and have seen tremendous results.
“I made the changes to my delivery that you suggested in the video analysis, and went from consistently 80-82 and topping at 84 my sophomore year of college, to 87-89 and topping at 91 my junior year. All with ZERO arm pain/injury! I have been seen by several scouts since gaining this velocity, and been contacted by several more major league teams. I really can’t thank you enough for these changes. I can only imagine where I would be if I never got an evaluation. Probably still struggling to hit 85 and finishing out my senior year with no real chance of continuing baseball.”
Caleb Thielbar, College Junior
“Coach…Just letting you know that my middle son, the lefty, just got offered full tuition athletic scholarship at a D1 school. (31K a year). In June he was clocked at 79-81 at a perfect game tournament. Since then has been working out with your program and reviewing his brother’ Dans’ evaluation that you did.He jumped his velocity to 88-89, with a wicked hammer (curveball), and change-up. Needless to say it was you, Ryan and hard work on our mound in the driveway.”
Matawan, New Jersey
“Excellent tool for learning. Slow motion, frame-by-frame and highlighting each fault is the key. This allows for exact understanding and where corrections are needed.”
As you can see video analysis works for pitchers of every age. Plus, because we’ve been doing this for so long, we have been able to see trends, and can quickly point out the common mistakes that pitchers are making.I hope by now you’re starting to see how video analysis is the perfect tool for you as a pitcher, but if you’re anything like me you’re probably skeptical and have some questions, so let me try and guess what those are and answer them for you…
“Coach, I have a pitching coach already, I don’t need this..”
Let me ask you, what are you getting from your pitching coach? An hour in the pen, and then a nice pat on the back saying “good work today?” What are you taking away from each lesson that costs you between $50 – $150, and how much of that are you retaining? Experts agree, we only retain between 10% – 30% of new information, so how much are you really getting? And what is your pitching coaching using to capture the fastest motion in sports – just the naked eye? How are you measuring progress?
Video Analysis Example 6
If you find yourself unsatisfied with your answers to these questions, you need to take a look at video analysis. Not only are you getting feedback from professionals to find out exactly what you need to improve and how to improve it, you’ll also have your video analysis saved to use as a teaching tool that you can go back and refer to as much as you need, unlike a pitching lesson from a coach…
“Coach, can’t I just go and videotape my pitching and analyze myself? Why are you an expert at this?”
Great question, and as I’ve shared with you, I have done over 500 video analysis sessions so we know exactly what to look for. Not only that, since 1996 I have been studying the biomechanics of pitching and I’ve followed the guidelines of sound biomechanics from The American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham. I’ve also been a student of world renowned sports scientist Dr. Brent Rushall, who is a biomechanist and sports movement specialist.
So what does all this mumbo-jumbo mean for YOU? It boils down to this. I follow proven scientific principles in pitching, keep up on the latest scientific research, and because of our vast experience, have been able to simplify pitching to the 9 Steps To An Explosive Efficient Delivery, which identifies the 21 essential elements of a pitching delivery.
You can rest easy knowing that you’re getting proven techniques and results.
“What makes your video analysis different than everything else out there?”
There’s two different types of video analysis services in the market today. They are either 1) so simplistic that it doesn’t offer any good pitching advice, usually because the coach doesn’t have enough experience or knowledge of mechanics, or 2) it’s done by a biomechanics lab and are way too technical and complex, so you’re left struggling to interpret everything and not knowing what you need to do to improve… or what changes to make.
My video analysis is different, I, follow sound biomechanical principles to base our analysis, while keeping our explanations easy to understand by the pitcher, coach, or parent. My focus is on helping the pitcher understand the movements that are required to put the body into more efficient positions to maximize force production, while reducing stress to the arm.
Some who do pitching motion analysis focus on showing just the positions, and then only explaining what’s wrong with that position. I take it a step further, and not only point out the incorrect position, but I also point out how the preceding movement error produced the fault and then we explain how to fix it.It’s not just whether a pitcher gets into a good position or not, but “how” he does it.
Plus, my,video analysis also compares you side-by-side to a top MLB pitcher with sound mechanics, so you can easily recognize the movements required to make the needed corrections. Seeing yourself directly compared to a MLB pitcher instantly makes it clear why there may be velocity differences, and our voice overs will give you clear direction on what needs to be fixed.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your pitching performance, you need the number one tool to implement proving pitching principles based on science – video analysis. And here’s the best part – you don’t need to go anywhere to get this done! It used to be that you’d need to travel to a special video equipped facility, but thanks to years of experience and a system we’ve been steadily improving since 1996, you can now do it from your own backyard!
The 3 Easy Steps To Improve Your Pitching:
1. You upload a video of you pitching at full game intensity from at least two (preferably three) angles. (We’ll provide easy to follow instructions immediately after purchase with everything you need to know!). The video can be from a game or a bullpen, but it must be full game intensity pitching.
2. You’ll fill out a short form where you can explain the goals you want to achieve and any problems that are readily apparent.
3. Submit it and you’re done!
I’ll,then review your film and within seven working days produce a full professional analysis!
The analysis will be posted to your own private page created on this site, where you will be able to view your newly edited video, complete with our voice over analysis. Part of the analysis will be comparing you to a big league pitcher, so you can have a side by side look at what you’re doing compared to a professional. Since I’ve been doing this I’ve found having someone to compare yourself with has been proven to help comprehension and development of the pitching principles you’ll be learning. Finally I’ll include specific instructions for improvement, so you have a detailed plan to help you grow and develop.
So what will it take to invest in the most beneficial tool of your pitching career?
Well, I charge $1495.00 for a three hour lesson…which people gladly pay. Why? Because I base all instruction on scientific research, not old baseball beliefs.
You’re getting the same access to these proven techniques, but from the comfort of your own home. How much is that worth?
Let me ask you this, how much is a college scholarship worth, like the one John received after using my video analysis? Upwards of $20,000… A year.
You’re getting access to the same information I charge clients $1495.00 for, and they have to fly out to see me. You can have your personal analysis done -1 week from right no -, and you can be sitting in the same chair you’re in right now. Plus, you’ll be putting yourself in the best position to receive that college scholarship, or even major league signing bonus, and all you have to do is decide right now that you’re serious about getting the most out of your pitching.
Right now, I’m offering this package for only $297.00. Think about how much money you could continue wasting on a pitching coach, where you don’t even get anything tangible afterwards. With my video analysis, you’ll have access to your videos forever, so you can go back and reference anything, as many times as you need to.
Doesn’t videotaping make sense? Wouldn’t following a more scientific system seem sensible? Can you really afford to continue to guess what’s wrong with your pitching mechanics… and not know exactly why your velocity is mediocre? Or why you walk so many hitters? Or why your arm is constantly sore?
In one week from right now, you can have those questions answered, with a side-by-side voice-over motion analysis of your pitching motion covering The 9 Steps To An Efficient Explosive Delivery. The 21 movement elements of the delivery will be identified, while comparing you to a MLB pitcher showing you how to maximize your velocity… all while revealing the common faults that reduce force production, and those that add stress to the arm.
Don’t put off reaching your pitching potential any longer, act now.
To your pitching success,
