"Finally... A New, Easy To Follow, Cutting Edge Step-by-Step Formula For Building Rock-Solid High Velocity Pitching Mechanics Guaranteed To Boost Performance And Reduce Arm Injuries"

From: Coach Mills
Scottsdale, AZ

Dear Friend,

If you are frustrated, confused or even worried about your son's velocity or his overall pitching performance then this could be the most important information that you have ever read about helping him quickly improve.

If you are looking to finally discover why your son is not throwing harder with better control or why he has a sore arm, and are smart enough to realize that there are no magic bullets, then please read on for the answers.

If you are interested in teaching rock-solid high velocity pitching mechanics the easiest way possible based on sports science training principles rather than common coaching beliefs, then this is going to be the most exciting message you have ever read about how to improve pitching performance.

But before I tell you about our brand new never before released to the public, cutting-edge instructional DVD's about how to boost pitching velocity and overall perfromance with less risk of injury, you may want to know why so many youth pitchers never end up pitching in high school and why so few high school pitchers go on to play college ball... and why so few pitchers ever get to live their dream of playing pro ball.

* Here is the one secret to pitching velocity that you must learn if you ever hope to see him reach his full potential. Pitching velocity is the result of how explosively the lower body moves from the back leg to the front leg while stretching out like a huge rubber band into a long stride while getting the upper body and arm in the right position to throw.

The single biggest reason that more high school and college pitchers never reach their full potential is because they waste their time doing activities that will never produce the promised results of better velocity or control. They are taught to believe that more arm strength will produce more velocity. This is wrong!

If you are interested in the truth about how to help your son reach the next level as a pitcher...without any hyped up magic bullets such as weighted baseballs, doing endless long toss, or some special velocity drill... then I can show you how to smooth out and make a couple of changes in his mechanics and his overall practice routine that will end your frustration about what he should do to improve...and improve a lot quicker than you thought possible. But you must read every word of this letter.

And if you're still convinced that has to be some magic bullet as the answer for producing more velocity, I want you to ask yourself why there are no magic bullets in other sports... It's simple. Because magic bullets are a myth. They are pure hype. And if you buy into them you will regret it because your son can never get back that wasted time.

The only thing that is going to help your son improve his velocity is to help him build an explosive delivery using proven high velocity pitching mechanics so his lower body can build power into a long stride.

And in the next few minutes I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to do to in order to use these Major League principles to develop the most explosive pitcher possible. But before we get there, I want to tell you a little about myself and why this information will change your pitching career.

My name is Coach Mills. I am a former Red Sox pitcher and am considered a rebel by the large majority of my coaching peers. Why? Because in 2004 I was the first high level instructor who turned to sports science research to find accurate answers to the problems that most pitchers were having with improving their pitching velocity and their control...all while reducing the risk of arm injuries.

Since then, my son Ryan and I have succesfully taught thousands of pitchers this brand new cutting edge method of how to improve their pitching velocity and overall performance by using videotaping to give them instant feedback - and showing them a step-by-step method of how to use their bodies to produce power - rather than just relying on their arm.

The common methods of teaching mechanics to improve pitching velocity used by instructors and coaches all over the country are clearly not working. This is why nearly 50% of Little League and high school pitchers are reported to pitch with pain. That's right, almost half of our kids are out there pitching with pain, and possibly causing irreversible long term damage. Not only that, they're pitching with pain for no reason, because only 7% of high school pitchers will get to play college baseball!

I don't know about you, but any instruction that causes so many kids to pitch with pain and results in so little success is NOT working in my book...

So what's the problem? Poor pitching instruction that follows belief-based rather than evidence based principles. The average high school pitcher's fastball is still stuck between 78-82 mph. It is apparent that all the tools recommended by coaches and instructors do not work to improve pitching velocity.

The only way to correctly improve pitching mechanics, as we've seen from thousands of lessons in developing explosive pitchers, is learning to have the body produce the power while the arm is along for the ride, and whipped through by the elastic energy forces produced by the body.

It sounds simple, but I want to ask you a question...

Are You Concerned That You're Not Providing The Best Pitching Information Available To Help Your Kid Succeed?

If you're like most of the parents I see...I'm sure you have some of these same concerns:

  1. Why can't my son throw as hard as some of the other pitchers?
  2. Is it a strength and conditioning issue?
  3. My son has a good arm and wants to pitch, but the coach won't let him because he can't throw strikes... I know he needs better control, but what adjustments should I make, and what can I do to help him improve his control?
  4. How do I make my son more consistent? He has a good game and then a couple of bad games, and I don't want him to get discouraged...
  5. I suspect his throwing mechanics are poor and I think it could lead to injury down the road...
  6. My son can throw the ball, but he just doesn't look powerful enough - he looks slow and mechanical and not as natural as some of the other pitchers I see.
  7. He doesn't look smooth or fluid - he's too herky-jerky, or looks a little stiff.
  8. He is constantly complaining of a sore arm - and I'm getting worried!
  9. I'm not sure his coach really knows much about pitching...
  10. I don't like wondering if he will ever reach his full potential before getting hurt..

If you found yourself nodding your head to any of these concerns, don't worry, you're not alone. I see it all the time with parents who come to me because they are sick of not seeing the results they and their kids work so hard to achieve. But, how did we ever get to the point where these are your concerns?...

Today's Coaches At All Levels Are Giving Out BAD Advice!

Before I explain to you how our new DVD instructional and educational program is going to help pitchers finally improve and learn what is holding them back, let me give some background as to why today's instruction is not working and why it is actually the reason that pitchers are failing to improve their velocity and holding back their careers.

Here's what most coaches and instructors are teaching that is NOT working to help pitchers improve and actually creates more problems:

Common Pitching Bad Advice #1 -
Pitchers Should Be Doing Long Toss

In 2009 I spoke at that the 27th annual American Sports Medicine Institutes Baseball Injuries course. My presentation was against long toss. Because of that presentation Dr. James Andrews, world renowned orthopedic and head of ASMI, ordered the first scientific study of long toss in 2010.

The results of that study in Jan. 2011 concluded:

  1. Long toss of 180 ft or more adds stress to the elbow
  2. Long toss does not improve pitching velocity
  3. Long toss interferes with pitching mechanics

And even though it is now clear that long toss has little value, except as a warm-up tool or as part of a full body conditioning program....unaware coaches, since they do not stay informed, continue to recommend long toss.

What Does A Former Major League Pitcher Tommy John Say About Long-toss?

Here's what former minor league pitching coach and 26 year big league veteran Tommy John had to say about long toss:

I'm not an advocate of long throwing. Shortstops and catchers don't long-toss, so why do pitchers do it? That's an outfielder's skill. Guys are out there throwing 200 feet. But the muscles you're trying to strengthen as a pitcher have no idea if you're throwing 60 feet or 200 feet. I try to get my guys to throw off the mound every day if they want to...The more you practice throwing strikes, the easier it is to throw strikes. You have to work on a specific endeavor often and pitchers right now don't do it.

Tommy John,
former major league pitcher

Pitching is a skill activity like golf. It is the act of transferring your weight from one leg to the other, going downhill trying to maximize your velocity and control while trying to hit a target.

A sports scientist would ask...why would you spend time doing something that is completely different and cannot help you get better throwing from the mound!

What helps pitchers far more than long toss, is spending more time throwing from the mound, while focusing on improving their mechanics and using each pitch as an opportunity to throw with better control and more potential velocity. In order to get better, pitchers must throw more game intensity pitches from the mound. Not only does this makes sense from a science perspective, it works. Long toss wastes time pitchers could use to become better pitchers. It's a "pitching potential" killer.

Common Pitching Bad Advice #2 -
Pitchers Must Get Bigger And Stronger
In Order To Throw Harder

Whether it is from high school coaches, college coaches or pro scouts...what you will hear over and over again is that if a pitcher wants to throw harder he needs to get "bigger and stronger." This is one of the most misunderstood ideas related to pitching velocity which I have already explained. It too is killing "pitching potential" for lots of pitchers.

The fact is that pitching is not a strength activity or strength sport anymore than golf. After all ask yourself this question - how much strength do you think a pitcher really needs in order to move or throw a 5 oz baseball. And the answer is - not very much. And the reason comes from sport science.

Pitching is much more about moving the body faster and stretch it out in order to throw harder. And no amount of weight training or more general strength will help a pitcher move his body faster so he can put as many muscles on stretch as quickly as possible. But it could very well slow him down because bigger means more body mass and more to move.

Pitching velocity comes from elastic energy by putting muscles on stretch...not from general strength that is required to lift weights. Coaches have it all backwards.

The fact is that pitchers who put more than 3-4 weeks doing any type of heavy lifting during the off-season or inseason are training their bodies to move slower because weight training is a slow activity. If a pitcher wants to improve his ability to move his body more explosively which is how more arm speed is created...then he needs to be doing explosive movements.

And that is why we offer a complete functional training program that focuses on explosive movements and flexibility. We teach the body how to put muscles on stretch faster and build power.

Ask yourself this question. If a pitcher's velocity was dependent on going into the weight room how then did major league pitchers throw hard prior to weight training? Nolan Ryan for example, when he first got to the big leagues was throwing many times over 100 mph when he was much skinnier and nearly 15 years before he ever picked up a dumbbell.

Remember weight training did not become popular until the early 90's because the strength training industry - which is huge - saw an opportunity for manufacturers and trainers to make money in baseball. That is why weight training became popular.

Besides that... there is no supported research that weight training reduces the risk of injury. My belief is that weight training may be the reason that arm injuries seem to have increased. But that is just my belief.

If velocity was about having more strength, how then do Little League pitchers throw 65-70 mph which is the equivalent of throwing upper 80's to low 90's from 60'6"? .

This also applies to any type of overload training whether using weighted baseballs or strapping on a weighted vest. Sports science says that adding implements to the body will be interpreted by the body as a completely different activity and movement which when removed can disrupt the neuromuscular system and adversely effect a pitchers timing. And pitching...just like golf is all about the timing of the parts.

Here Is What the American Academy of Pediatrics
Has To Say About the Value of Weight Lifting
For Improving Sports Performance:

"Strength training can improve an adolescent athlete's performance in weight lifting and power lifting. Strength training is a common practice in sports like football in which size and strength are desirable. Despite theoretical benefits, scientific studies have failed to consistently show that improved strength enhances running speed, jumping ability, or overall sports performance. Young people who want to improve sports performance will generally benefit more from practicing and perfecting skills of the sport than from resistance training."

This is the type of information that the strength training advocates do not want you to know. The reality is that if you want to maximize a pitcher's overall performance then building mechanical skills along with functional strength and flexibility will get pitchers where they want to go faster than any single thing.

Am I opposed to pitchers getting stronger. Not at all. However, we strongly believe that pitchers would be far better doing exercises that are functional and specific to pitching. We feel that pitchers are far better off "strengthening the movements" of pitching rather than strengthening specific muscle groups

There are no special arm exercises that will produce velocity. None. Arm care exercises are only for strengthening the rotator cuff and scapula so that there is both stability and flexibility. It's not about building arm strength for increased velocity.

Let me prove my point with one of my favorite examples of a great Major League Pitcher - Tim Lincecum. Tim Lincecum is a 5'10" 170lb pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. He is clearly not what you would typically refer to as big and strong, and is actually on the skinny side.

And yet what Tim does with that little frame is throw fastballs regularly clocked from 92-95 mph...and he's even hit 100mph.

How Small Tim Lincecum Learned
To Throw Over-powering Fastballs

Here is what Tim said after his first major league start on May 6, 2007 when interviewed about his fastball hitting 100 mph.

"My body does all the work and my arm is like a whip that comes along for the ride."

That is what sports science research has proven, and yet 9 out of 10 coaches don't teach it! People are still stuck trying to use the latest drills, equipment, and fads, and our kids are paying for it in wasted time.

Here's an example, and a message from a high school coach who tried weighted balls and had no success:

High School Coach Has No Success
With Weighted Baseballs

"I tried the weighted ball system that now seems in fashion. We followed the directions and worked very hard with this system. We have a fairly prestigious program and utilize the gun.

I can tell you from experience that an off-season of throwing the weighted balls DID NOT increase the velocity of my pitchers. We followed the directions precisely and my kids were very, very dedicated to the program. I also had conversations with the supplier of these balls as well as the author of a well known book which advocates and instructs on the use of these balls.

Again, the predicted increase in velocity just wasn't evident. We since stopped using these balls since I saw no statistical reason to keep using them and I could better use this time for more beneficial training."

Mike McCauley,
Lancaster, PA

So tell me, do you want to waste both time and money on something that is just hype because in the hopes of finding the magic bullets? Weighted balls have been around for 30 years with very little, if any, success. Believe me, if weighted balls actually worked I'd be selling them.

NOTE: So the next time you hear someone telling you that you must build arm strength in order to throw harder...think about small and skinny Tim Lincecum who hit 95 mph because he knows how to use his body to speed up his arm. It has very little to do with arm strength. In fact, we use this principle to teach Little League pitchers how to use this to throw much harder than the bigger kids!

Before I tell you how I can help you help your son become a much better pitcher, I want you to listen to a true story about one of our clients and how bad coaching advice can actually ruin a boy's chances of reaching his peak potential...and in this case his dream of going high in the major league draft.

Top College Lefty Loses 5-7 MPH On Fastball Following Instructors Advice Doing The Famous Towel Drill

How would you feel if your son was ranked as one of the top 35 college players in the country going into his junior year of college? You'd feel great of course! Being ranked that high pretty much assured he'd get drafted at least by the second or third round... But all it takes is one peice of the bad advice that's so prevalent today to make this dream come crashing down.

Unfortunately this actually happened to one of my customers, a 6'3" 195 lb lefty, who had been on our program since his sophomore year of high school. Out of high school he was throwing 86-88 mph and as a college sophomore he was consistently throwing 89-91 mph. He got a scholarship to one of the premium Division 1 colleges in the nation.

Here's what happened. He wanted to see if he could add another 2-3 mph on his fastball so he set up some lessons with a well known instructor who didn't understand an important element of how the pitcher's body produces velocity. The instructor had this pitcher work on trying to produce more velocity "out in front" using a "towel drill" so he would be closer to the plate at ball release. This sounds good in theory but it misses one very important element of pitching mechanics - the trunk must turn first before it flexes forward. This instructor didn't understand that.

When a pitcher focuses only on arm extension his weight transfer is very poor so his trunk flexes forward before it rotates and that kills arm speed and adds stress. This cost him 7 mph on his fastball and instead of getting drafted in the second or third round...he went in the 23rd.

Those lessons with that misinformed instructor cost this boy in the neighborhood of $750,000 to a million in bonus money and a lot of heartache for himself and his family.

Coach Gives 13 Year Old The Wrong Advice
At A High School Clinic

Here is another story I got just the other day from the father of a 13 year old pitcher who got some very typical bad advice while attending a clinic put on by a group of high school coaches. This is the kind of advice that you could also get from any baseball camp, website, an online pitching book or video or directly from any youth, high school or college coach...

That father told me his son returned from a clinic put on by a group of high school coaches attended by 240 kid's...both youth and high school players. I asked him if his son got any one-on-one instruction...which you won't get at most clinics or camps. He told me that his son did get some one-on-one instruction and that one of the coaches told him that his stride was too long.

I asked him how the coach knew his stride was too long? The coach went on to explain that his son's "back knee" was almost touching the ground which the coach said was the result of too long a stride. So his son shortened his stride. Do you know what....

This was a big mistake...a big, big mistake. Not only will this coach's advice cause a loss in power but it will also create more stress to the pitchers arm and his lower back.

You see this coach was diagnosing the wrong problem. The long stride was not the problem. The long stride was the result of the problem. The problem that caused the back knee to be nearly touching the ground was the result of one of the biggest mechanical faults you will see in youth and high school pitchers...and that fault is "early hip rotation" which just gets the back hip rotating too early because the pitcher doesn't understand how to move sideways off his back leg. The collapsing of the back leg is what pushes the back knee down toward the ground. A huge mechanical fault that kills velocity.

If a coach or instructor tells your son to shorten his stride, ask why and listen. You will hear some very interesting explanations - the majority of which make no sense mechanically. I have been doing video analysis of high school and college pitchers for nearly 10 years. And in that time I have never told a pitcher to shorten his stride. It is normally the other way around - they need to get out there further so they can take advantage of the elastic energy of their bodies which comes from stretching the body out.

Please understand that pitching success is not about finding some "magic bullet" that will skyrocket your son to the next level. If it sounds like hype then that's what it is. Don't waste time chasing after hype. It doesn't work.

Why Are Most Parents and Pitching Coaches
Still Misinformed?

In the book The Science And Art Of Baseball Pitching, which I co-wrote with a sports scientist in 2006, we revealed the research that has proven why much of today's misinformation about pitching is just not true. We wrote this book for high school, college and professional coaches as a reference so the truth about how to improve pitching performance would be available for all coaches to consider.

Here's a recap of what most coaches do not understand about how to produce more velocity:

  1. Arm strength is not much of a factor - it is the speed of movement of the lower body and momentum that produces elastic energy that whips the arm through like a slingshot.

  2. Slow movements and hesitation kill forward momentum and interfere with producing an explosive stride for less arm speed and less velocity with more stress to the arm

  3. Pitching drills such as the towel drill used by thousands of coaches and instructors is actually dangerous because it focuses on extending the arm at the elbow. The arm at ball release should not be fully extended because that is not physiologically what the arm is supposed to do. Keeping the arm slightly bent is the body's way of preventing injury. This is why improperly thrown curveballs cause so many arm problems. Kids extend their arms straight out. The arm should remain slightly flexed when throwing curveballs because that cushions the arm against injury.

  4. The balance drill is equally foolish. Why? Because why would you want a pitcher holding a position that never happens in pitching. This only serves to slow him down and make him think that he must hesitate. This will also cause him to think more about his mechanics when it should be all about moving his body more explosively toward the target.

The kneeling drill. Here is another drill that just wastes time. We already know that the lower body is the key to building more momentum and more elastic energy which aids in whipping the arm through. Why would you remove the most important factor for producing more energy and thereby getting the pitcher to believe his arm is the source of velocity.

  5. The arm is not for producing velocity but mainly should be used for ball control

  6. Building more strength in the lower body...the legs and hips does not improve velocity. Velocity is about moving the lower body faster so that it stretches out like a huge rubber band creating more elastic energy. No amount of additional strength in the legs or lower body is going to improve velocity. If this were true then how do skinny pitchers produce velocity? It's not from strength but speed of movement.

  7. Weighted balls do not improve velocity - I have spoken against weighted balls for the past seven years as they began being hyped online as a magic bullet for improving velocity. In our book we devoted 16 pages as to why they do not work and why all the studies that have been done are totally flawed using incorrect information to draw conclusions.

If weighted balls worked every professional team would use them to help all pitchers improve their velocity. But they don't. They only seem to work on pitchers who are still growing. However, it is growth and development that produces more velocity not weighted balls, long toss or weight training.

  8. Long toss does not improve velocity - we already know that it is the body that produces velocity...not the arm. The problem with long toss is that there is nothing about it that is similar to pitching from a mound except the baseball. In long toss you use a crow-hop action to gain momentum. You release the ball in an upward trajectory and throw it a longer distance 120'-300 feet or more.

Ask yourself how practicing one action that is totally different can help a completely different action such as pitching from the mound. If a pitcher is not allowed to crow-hop while pitching why would you practice that?

If a pitcher must throw down toward a target at 60'6" why would you have him throw upward at no intended specific target? Does any of this make sense to you!

If long toss worked for pitchers then it should certainly work for outfielders...but it does not. Can long toss turn a weak armed Barry Bonds into a rifle throwing right-fielder by just long-tossing. That has not been the case at any level of baseball.

  9. Stretching before pitching is actually dangerous, more stressful and reduces velocity - this fact is very startling for most baseball people. However, in January of 2005 a study was published that started just that. By stretching the shoulder or lower body before pitching you are loosening the joints which create instability and create more risk of injury. The shoulder is already the loosest joint in the body. What pitchers need is a combination of stability and flexibility. However this flexibility should not come from static stretching but from functional exercises where the entire body reaches normal ranges of motion.

Velocity is reduced by stretching before throwing because it reduces elastic energy production.

The best thing a pitcher can do before pitching is what is called a dynamic warm-up where by doing some exercises such as agilities or light srpints he raises the body's core temperature until he works up a light sweat. Then he can begin to gradually throw while building up intensity and volume of throws.

Any stretching that is required should always be done after games or practice...but never before.

Will You Waste Another Season
Hoping And Wondering If Things Will Change?

Does it make sense to let your son continue to pitch with poor mechanics going in to next season while probably getting the same inconsistent results with his velocity and his control...when you know he could be more successful if you just knew how to help him...if you knew exactly what was causing his problems and then had a professional proven plan to begin making the needed adjustments? Remember if things don't change they may actually continue to only get worse. And the longer you wait to make changes the tougher it gets to improve performance.

Some parents are being "ripped off" by instructors and don't even know it. But guess who is really being ripped off? Your son...who is wasting his time.

If so much instruction is poor and will actually reduce pitching performance... and even in some cases lead to injury then why you may be asking do most coaches and instructors continue to teach this stuff?

Here's the reason. It is called "belief based" coaching. This simply means that these coaches have heard this misinformation over and over from their playing days or just from other coaches who heard it from somebody else. But these are just "beliefs" that are not backed up with evidence of actually working. That's right. None of these pitching dogmas has been proven to work and that is why so few pitchers are being developed and why pitching instruction is poor and will continue to be poor at all levels - including high school and even top colleges. Instruction does not get better the higher you go.

And listen carefully. If your son does not get good instruction now he will be lost and could very well have a very difficult time making his high school or college team as a pitcher. But that doesn't have to happen.

I consider myself a coaching dad first, and a former pro pitcher second. But maybe even more importantly I remain a student of this game of pitching. I doubt honestly if anybody spends more time studying this phase of the game than I do or has invested more money researching pitching performance than I have.

I am going to explain to you a few things about pitching that you won't hear from most coaches or private instructors...information that is so valuable that in 2004 I invested over $5,000 of my own money by hiring two sports science consultants. This is information that will answer all the questions you have ever had about how to boost velocity, develop better control and just as important...how to reduce the risk of arm injuries. You will never see pitching mechanics explained in as much detail and yet as simply so that any parent can teach it to their son...even single mothers. You should know that this new information is ground breaking and could open up a new door for you and your son.

Your son's future could depend on it.

Without Proper Skills Your Son Will Be Constantly Frustrated And Might Get Discouraged

Imagine a young man who wants to play golf. If he has no instruction his results may be very poor. How much fun will he have if he is hitting the ball into the rough all the time. He will get discouraged and lose interest. Maybe embarrassed. Well, the same goes for pitching.

How much fun will your son have if he is walking batters, getting hit hard or constantly complaining of a sore arm? It comes down to this - the sooner they make corrections in their mechanics the sooner they have more success and feel good about themselves as pitchers.

Unlike professional pitchers, most youth or high school and many college pitchers do not use their entire bodies to help their arm throw the ball. So what happens is in an effort to try to throw harder they end up trying to throw with all arm rather than using their lower body...which is how big league pitchers develop velocity. The result of not using the lower body and the trunk means that the pitcher's throwing arm is going to have to do more work.

These Poor Throwing Mechanics Result In 3 Problems:

  1. The pitcher's arm takes on most of the stress
  2. The pitcher loses velocity
  3. The pitcher's control suffers

But don't worry, because now for the first time, we can show you step by step exactly how to correct, and prevent these problems.

How?

We'll Teach You The Same Simple Formula
We Use For Our Lessons

Because of the extensive amount of videotaping we have done, we have learned that most pitchers problems exist because they simply do not know how to get started in their deliveries. Or they think that velocity is all about the arm.

Most of the common faults we have seen, that can reduce velocity from 5-7 mph or more, are all due to pitchers not understanding the intial timing and how to get started moving down the mound so their bodies are doing the work while getting the arm involved as late as possible.

So after years of doing thousands of video analysis and one-on-one lessons we learned how to systematically teach the pitching motion from start to finish. This would not have been possible without the use of video.

And just recently we decided to put all this information into a simple to follow DVD format so that parents and coaches alike could easily teach their pitchers what we term - "high velocity MLB pitching mechanics by the numbers " by following along with my son Ryan and I as we show you exactly how to do it.

We produced two (2) brand new never before released to the public DVD's where my son Ryan and I show you all the positions of the body that are required if a pitcher wants to maximize his velocity and improve his control.

These DVD's will show any pitcher how to improve his velocity 5-7 mph and at the same time reduce the stress to the arm and thus reduce the risk of injury.

2 Brand New DVD's - The Culmination Of Everything
We Have Learned And Applied Since 2004

We listened to what you told us you wanted. A detailed easy to follow method that would show pitchers exactly how to use and position their bodies in order to maximize power while positioning the arm for improved arm speed.

You will learn everything that has changed since 2004...7 years worth of new information...nothing like we taught in our previous Explosive Pitching DVD's.

You told us you wanted us to show you which mechanical faults reduced velocity and increased the risk of injury and how to fix those faults just the way we do during our one-on-one lessons. You'll see we use some special and very targeted drills that relate exactly to the the mechanical fault...rather than using popular pitching drills that do not work. Basically Ryan and I teach you exactly what we teach during one-on-one instruction but at a fraction of the cost.

If pitchers want to know how to learn proper mechanics they must also understand common faults and how to fix them.

And that is exactly why we produced these two (2) DVD's and are offering them only as a package as we do not want to provide incomplete information that could cause you more problems.

Introducing...

The Scientific Formula For Big League Pitching Mechanics

Scientific Formula For Big League Pitching Mechanics

You will see my son Ryan and I standing on a pitching mound explaining and demonstrating to you all the key movements you must understand to maximize velocity, ball control, overall performance while reducing the risk of injury.

Here's what we cover in detail all put into 13 separate easy to follow video chapters:

Posture - the initial positioning of the body in a good athletic position - no leaning forward or leaning backwards

Weight shift - how to get the body to start building momentum by doing a lunge-type movement so the pitcher moves sideways without collapsing, having early hip rotation or turning.

Hand-break and Arm Action - how to use the throwing arm efficiently to get into a good cocked position by the time the pitcher lands.

Lead arm action - how the lead or glove arm is used to assist in producing more power by assisting trunk rotation, which provides more arm speed.

Back leg action - how to use the back leg for stability and back-leg drive to produce power and to position the back hip so it is higher than the front hip at landing.

Lead leg action - Watch as we show you how to use the lead leg efficiently so that is does not slow down the pitcher's forward momentum by straightening or swinging out and around like a gate.

Landing position - you'll learn the all important correct landing position which indicates whether the pitcher is in a good power position prior to rotation.

Throwing arm position - we show where the throwing arm should be positioned to produce maximum arm speed with less stress.

Rotation - we demonstrate when rotation occurs and why the hip goes first followed by the trunk and then the arm. You'll learn how trunk rotation is what really creates arm speed.

Maximum external rotation - the important position of the arm laying back and how the body must be positioned to maximize arm acceleration.

Ball release - where the body and the arm must be positioned to maximize the use of the trunk to create extra power.

Finish position - once the ball is released how the body and arm should be positioned to reduce stress.

Rythm and tempo - which is rarely talked about, but we'll show you why both are important for creating good timing and maximizing momentum.

As you can see we provide a detailed explanation and demonstration of the entire pitching sequence so that you will fully understand how to teach it. We have found that missing important points can produce timing problems that will reduce pitching velocity and ball control, and create arm problems.

My son Ryan demonstrates every single body position and exactly how to do it. We leave nothing out. This is what we do during one-on-one instruction. We show every pitcher who comes to us exactly which aspects of his delivery are creating prolbems and then show him a side-by-side comparison between his delivery and a top MLB pitcher.

It is this understanding that creates the atmosphere and motivation for improvement.

When either the pitcher or the coach do not have a clear understanding of the entire sequence of the delivery, every practice session will be hit or miss. Pitchers who want to maximize their potential cannot afford that.

This is the first detailed demonstration of the entire pitching motion that will finally provide you with a clear understanding as to why some pitchers throw with high velocity while others struggle and never find it.

But that's not all, because you'll also learn...

How to Recognize and Fix Common Mechanical Faults

How to recognize and fix common mechanical faults

On DVD # 2- The Most Common Mechanical Faults And How To Fix Them - we take you through and demonstrate every mechanical fault we see during video analysis and one-on-one lessons.

Ryan shows you some of the drills that we use to help pitchers get the feel of the new movement and how to make corrections with weight shift, back leg action, bracing, collapsing of the back leg, arm action problems, glove action or swinging the lead leg and many others.

Here's what we cover on DVD #2 - Common Mechanical Pitching Faults And How To Fix Them

Posture - poor posture is what can ruin overall mechanics...too much leaning back or sandwiching the body forward at hand break. Watch as we show you a cool drill so you learn to create a different feel.

Weight-shift - this is where momentum starts. Some simple drills to get the feel of moving the front hip toward the target while the lead leg stays up and back and doesn't shoot out too early. You do not want the front shoulder moving out with the front hip.

The Back Leg - as Daniel Bard says about his velocity - "It's all about my back leg." We'll teach you why you do not want to collapse your back leg and how to prevent it. Plus we'll show a cool exercise we call "test the water" to build hip strength to eliminate collapsing, and another drill to get the feel of a lunge-type movement from back leg to front leg.

Hand-break - find out why "thumbs down" coming out of the glove can create big problems. We'll also show you what to do if you have a low elbow and why the mirror can be your best friend.

Arm-action - there are so many common arm action faults we see, so Ryan will demonstrate a 6-step drill to help you get the feel of correct arm action.

Lead leg action - I cannot tell you how lead leg faults can ruin a pitcher's delivery. We show you a "box drill" that will help with correcting swinging the leg, plus I'll show you what two MLB pitchers do to have excellent lead leg action so that the front hip just carries the lead leg along for the ride.

Landing - there are so many faults here that are all related to how the pitcher is positioned as he starts to shift his weight toward the plate. We show you all ones that we see regularly, and how you can correct them.

Back leg and foot action - we show you why the back hip should not be above the plane of the front hip and how to make that correction. Ryan shows you how to make the move from the back leg to the front leg so the pitcher's back hip is above the front hip. This also is how you create the separation between the hips and the trunk.

Rotation - there are a lot of potential problems here, which cause force to never get to the arm. Mostly they relate to back foot action and the lead arm. Correct them and your trunk will rotate faster giving you more arm speed.

Ball release - your position here tells you whether you started correctly or not - common faults we see are fingers not behind the ball, floppy wrists, arm not fully extended, and head and shoulders still behind the front knee. We'll show you how to fix all of them.

Finish - we see poor trunk flexion, and the arm not finishing in a correct position, both of which can lead to serious arm injuries.

Plus we show you how to simplify the entire delivery using the "Pitching Backwards" sequence, plus a very cool drill that is brand new that can be used for beginners or advanced pitchers who have mechanical problems. It's called "the 4 Positions" and it's a drill we show most of our students when they come for lessons.

It shows you how to get the body into the 4 most important positions, between the start and the finish of the delivery.

Both of these DVD's are absolutely jam packed with brand new information you're going to want this off-season. Every chapter, every lesson, every tip, and exercise we show you comes down to helping with the following...

Most Pitchers Have A Timing Problem

The thing that causes problems for most pitchers is simply not knowing what he should be doing in to not only create power from the lower body, but how to have the correct timing between the upper and lower body and all the positioning factors that are so important in maximizing the potential of the delievery.

Aren't you tired of wondering what is holding back your pitching?

You must understand that there are no "magic bullets" to pitching improvement. If you buy into the hype you will just waste time on what does not work. If it seems to good to be true then it usually is.

These two DVD's will finally unlock the mystery of what are proper mechanics so there is no doubt that you are always on the right track...rather than wondering what's missing.

This program will finally get you on track to maximize your velocity so you are ready for the upcoming spring season. And if for some reason you get off-track all you have to do is videotape, review the chapter on the DVD that relates to your problem and go to work fixing it.

We have taken all the guesswork out of what you need to know to create more velocity with better control and less stress to the arm.

This is the information that every pitching coach or instructor ought to know so that every pitcher has an opportunity to become the best they can be.

These DVD's will be like getting several free pitching lessons from my son Ryan and I at huge discount.

In fact this is what some of our former lesson clients have said about our lessons and our instruction:

June 8, 2011 - Son drafted by Yankees in June 2011 draft

"Coach Mills FYI - thought you would like to hear about your first NH high school client getting drafted by the Yankees - the pointers you gave in our September lesson got him into the low 90's (from upper 80's) this spring. Thanks for your help!"

All the best,
Jim Maher

May 18, 2011 - Son goes from 74 mph to 82 mph in less than six months

"Coach Mills, Just to let you know that Pete made first team all-state this year. He has worked hard but the thanks goes to you and Ryan. What you guys taught him had a big impact and I think that the few minutes Ryan spent visiting with him on the last day left a lasting impression. He is still in the low 80's (82) the other day and his 2 seam is really moving. From 74 mph to 82 mph."

Thanks again.
You guys are great. Mike Crow

March 2011 - 16 year old high school pitcher - Coach Mills and Ryan, A big thank you for working with Chase.

"His mechanics are 10,000 percent better and he is throwing the ball harder with less effort. I was standing almost behind home plate watching him pitch when an older gentleman remarked to his wife, "That boy on the mound is their best pitcher". He liked the way he threw and the control he had in warm-ups. Even though he was our best pitcher before, he now looks like a real pitcher. We are doing the backward shaping as a means to ingrain the motion and it is working well."

All the best,
Kip Niswonger

From the father, a former pro pitcher, who came in Dec 2010 with his son a D1 RH pitcher already throwing 88-92 mph:

"Hi Coach Mills. First thing I would like to say is thank you. Frankie is doing great and his confidence is back!! I have played professional baseball and coached travel teams and all I can say is that it's never too late to learn. We video every chance we can and his mechanics have improved along with his velocity and command. The instruction you and Ryan had given Frankie is priceless, wish we had done it sooner. It's never too late!! It was worth the trip."

Thanks again.
Frank

From the father of a junior college pitcher from Nevada:

"Well I just wanted to give you a quick update regarding Jordan. After his lesson with you in December he came home for winter break and worked on the things from your lesson and reviews the video constantly. As you recall, the coaches wanted Jordan to redshirt or sit out a year (no red shirt in JC ball). However, after returning back to school after winter break Jordan pitched in a couple of scrimmage games and did very well. With about a week before the season started, they put Jordan on the official roster. He has pitched middle relief in several games and done well (7.1 innings, no earned runs). Yesterday, the coach told Jordan he was going to start the second game of their double header today. He called today and did well, getting the win and going 6.2 innings, which is pretty good considering he has not pitched more then 3 innings in about ten months.

What a ride! Jordan has gone from not thinking he would even make the team, red shirting, making the team, thinking he would get very few innings, getting innings, to getting a start!

The lessons were a turning point for Jordan. He was able to make the corrections you worked on with him and he continues to work on them (especially his arm action). Thanks again Coach Mills and tell Ryan thanks also!!"

Charles Lewis

From the father of a D1 college pitcher from northern California:

"Hi Coach Mills,

We received the DVD and John has been working on the information you guys shared with us on our visit. John continues to feel the ease and improvement in his mechanics since our visit. The one on one lesson with Ryan and you crystallized the concepts of back leg drive and proper trunk rotation leading to a finish with good position of hips and strong bracing action on the front leg.

Your patience and experience in coaching are very apparent throughout the lesson. The knowledge of pitching you and Ryan possess coupled with extensive use of video and live demonstration provided an extremely valuable learning opportunity for both my son and I.

We left Phoenix knowing we couldn't have found better instruction anywhere."

Thanks a million!
Jim

From the father of a college sophomore:

"After returning last week, I see a change in his whole demeanor, mainly a huge confidence boost.

Since working with you and Ryan, his outlook has changed, definitely for the better. He really enjoyed just "talking" with both of you. He was also really pumped about the new warm up program. He says he's never felt so good and ready to throw.

In his first bullpen since returning, he definitely had the coaches' attention with a distinct increase in velocity from noticeably less effort."

Todd Martin

From the father of a high school junior from North Carolina:

"Mr. Mills,

Well Nick had his first tournament since coming to see you and Ryan 2 weeks ago - What a difference! - his coach, his catcher and parents all commented on much more confident Nick looks and how much faster he throws. 5ks, 1 BB, 0 runs, 1 hit over 4 innings - he only threw 60 pitches, but the coaches are holding everyone to 4 innings since this is the first week of fall ball - they want to make sure no one gets hurt because most of the pitchers didn't throw since summer ball ended.

Also, most rewarding for me was what happened earlier this week after a bullpen session, where Nick threw about 85-90 pitches. After this bullpen session where he threw every pitch liked it counted - I asked him how his arm felt - do you know what he said to me? - he said Dad my arm is fine - since we visited Mr. Mills - my arm doesn't hurt anymore - I throw with my lower body! As you know - my main focus on asking for your help was to ensure Nick's health - thank you for taking the time to teach Nick the proper technique."

Gratefully,
Mike Nitkowski

That's just a few of the hundreds we have received over the past few years from satisfied parents of pitchers. However, I don't want you to just trust all of the satisfied clients we've had. I want to make this decision even more of a "no-brainer", which is why I'm making this offer totally risk free.

No Questions Asked - 1 Year Money Back Guarantee

These DVD's come backed by a no-questions asked money back guarantee...which we have offereed at pitching.com since 1996 because we are so confident you will be totally satisified with all of our products - and these DVD's are no exception.

So, if for some reason you are not completely satisfied for any reason whatsoever, then just send the program back, and you will get all your money back less shipping. No hassles.

You Risk...Nothing With Our 1 Year Money Back Guarantee

Ok, Coach Mills, I'm interested, but here's my real question... "How much is this investment in my son's pitching career going to cost?"

Let me just say, it's cheap compared to the time you will waste on other programs chasing those "instant magical" results.

Here's why.

I charge $1495 for a 3 hour lesson and $397 for a video analysis - which people gladly pay. In fact, for most of my clients, $1495 for 3 hours of pitching lessons is a bargain. You see most of our clients have come to us after wasting pitching lesson after pitching lesson, at $50 a pop, only to have their kid not improve - or even lose - his velocity! So if you pay for just 30 lessons with a "belief based" pitching coach who doesn't understand the benefits of scientific based pitching instructions, you're already at $1500!

Remember I have been doing this online since 1996. I have been a pitching instructor my entire adult life. And everything we do is based on science not my beliefs.

But don't just consider the price of this package against what I put into it.

Instead...

Figure The Price Against How Your Son Will Benefit And How YOU Will Feel Knowing He Is Finally On The Right Track

You will find that the value and education from my program is dozens of times the value you pay for even 10 lessons at $50 to $75. But this isn't like a single pitching lesson, because you will have this program to review as long as your son pitches.

Think about what ongoing lessons and clinics cost...and how you get no support...and no guarantee. If your son gets one lesson a week for three months that's $600.00. That $600 could be a bargain if it's good instruction or a complete disaster that could set your son backwards being a complete waste of time and money.

Here's the deal:

These two DVD's are a package, never before released to the public, and not sold separately. Together they are priced at $194...about the price of a couple of pitching lessons.

But not only are you going to get 2 groundbreaking DVD's, I'm also going to give you a Fast-track Start-up Guide, explaining the very best way to use the DVD's so you can be sure to get the most out of them.

And I'm also including a Mechanics Checklist you can use evaluate your mechanics, so you have everything you need to improve, and monitor, your pitching progress.

But is this package really worth $194?

Easily.

Remember, when someone comes to visit us for pitching lessons the cost for three (3) hours is $1495. That's right $500/hr. That is just the lesson. They also pay for their travel, hotel and meals. And we are always booked solid. Why?... Because these parents are confident they are getting the very best pitching instruction, backed by cold, hard science.

And now, you can benefit from our years of doing thousands of lessons, and get your hands on the very latest pitching information, for a fraction of what a lesson with us would cost.

Parents have told us they have wasted upwards of $5000 on lessons over the years with very poor results. And now you have a chance to get the best pitching information available for a fraction of that...

So what are you waiting for?

My Program Will Also Help You Evaluate Your Son's Pitching Instructor...So You Can Tell If You Are Getting Good Instruction

Now, I know I've been saying that most pitching instructors out there are giving bad pitching advice. I don't want you to think I'm saying all pitching coaches are bad, because that's not the case. However, I am saying the majority of pitching coaches are misinformed, and aren't giving your son the best advice out there..

Hopefully, your son has one of the very few qualified pitching instructors out there. But believe me they are few and far between. Many of our customers continue to have pitching instructors and use our program as a comparison to what his instructor is teaching....to make sure they are getting their money's worth and to make sure the instructor doesn't mess up the mechanics. Turns out many found they weren't getting their money's worth. So they fired them. If your son has a pitching instructor I hope that he's highly qualified. Too many are not.

Imagine working with an instructor for months and not seeing improvement in better velocity or control! And what qualifies someone to call themselves a pitching instructor? You might think because they pitched in college or even pro ball or even played in the big leagues that they are extremely qualified. Well...think again and here's why.

Pitchers who have had experience even pitching at a high level...even the big leagues generally only know what worked for them. So your son will learn only what they know and many do not really fully understand proper mechanics in-depth. So that means your son will not get total instruction. In most cases these former pitchers have not studied pitching mechanics to the degree that is needed if you want to teach the latest in the biomechanics of pitching.

In fact, most major league pitchers will admit that they could never teach someone else how to do what they do. All they know is that what they did worked for them. It doesn't mean it will work for everyone because in most cases many of these pitchers got no instruction to speak of. They just had talent.

And some have found out that their instructors were pretty good and also good guys who were willing and open to learning more. In fact, I always suggest that you share our program with your son's instructor. Then you know you will be getting your money's worth.

Here Are Some Telltale Signs You Should Look At
To Evaluate Your Son's Instructor

Has your son's instructor done a video analysis? If not there is no way he would be able to pick out all the possible mechanical problems simply by using just the naked eye. Too much is going on. I would have a big question mark about this guy. Some other things your son's instructor ought to be doing: He should explain to you exactly what he sees as mechanical problems that need to be fixed, he needs to explain the causes of the problems, and he needs to explain what the results will be when all the changes are made.

If he doesn't do that...then you should consider finding a different instructor. Also ask him how power is created or how to specifically improve velocity? Don't let him tell you that it will come. Make him explain how. After all that is what you are paying him for.

Remember...all it takes is one instructor to tell your son to make the wrong adjustment and the results can ruin his future performance, lead to injury and end his career too soon.

And even worse ...it could ruin his confidence and destroy his self-esteem.

Who Really Needs This Instruction?

This program is for parents who want to help their sons become the best pitcher they can be, whether it's to help them gain the tools to go from the #4 pitcher to #2 and eventually #1.

It doesn't matter whether your son is 9 or 17 years old. If he wants to be a better pitcher you must give him the tools right now. Waiting can be very, very costly.

Or maybe you are tired of watching him sitting dejected because he doesn't get a chance to pitch or only pitches out of the bullpen occasionally. This program will not only show you how to help him immediately but it will help him build his confidence to the point where his coach will need him. The sooner they find out how to do it right the more success they will have.

Don't take a chance. If you want the best for your son as a pitcher, you need my 100% guaranteed instructional materials that even Moms and Dads with no experience are finding easy to use. If you have used trial and error but now want a proven system, then this program is critical for your son's success. Yes, single Moms are having success being their sons coach. Albert Einstein said this: "Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."

Your son cannot afford to practice the wrong thing. That is what kills pitchers from ever reaching their full potential. Or wasting their time doing activities that cannot possibly make them more skillful pitchers.

Do make a decision now. Your son's pitching future could depend on whether you have this information. You won't regret it. I promise. And remember: when it comes to pitching advice, you're not alone anymore!
