Hope I am not going to be the only one here. Hope that we get some conversation going in here……..I am not a cheap person but the other forums were a little rich for me right now……….:(
What exactly are you looking for? Conversation about what subject? Do you have a specific question?
Have you searched these forums about subjects that interest you or questions you have?
These forums have existed since 2000. The science based information has existed since 2004 when I stopped following all the gurus down a one-way road to nowhere.
I personally have posted close to 5000 times on various subjects…and not fluff.
There are also countless studies that have been posted that a large majority of coaches at all levels are not aware of.
Have you watched videos on the Video Evaluation Forums and the feedback I have given? This should give you an education about mechanics and how to fix faults that most high school, college and professional coaches do not have.
It’s all about what you value. Some value little. Others would like to continue to improve and learn as much as they can. This is why we provided different levels of membership. For some Free is all they want and are willing to pay that price which could end up being much more than they ever bargained for.
Millions upon millions are wasted every year on pitching instruction. The HS pitcher whose father brought him to us 4 weeks ago after he had hired a major league pitching coach for the off-season who got his son’s fastball from 86 mph down to 78-82 mph. He actually paid for that result by someone he trusted who still doesn’t get it but manages a staff of millionaires at the big league level.
I think what we provide is two things – evidence based pitching education and a form of insurance against false coaching ideas that reduce performance and lead to more and more injuries.
Everyone has a choice of where they want to place their dollars when it comes to helping their sons improve to the best of their ability.
I would estimate there are tens of thousands of pitchers who could have made it much bigger if they were not led astray because of false coaching ideas…ideas which I had followed up until 2004 when I stopped following the sheep over the cliff.
If you are here you are on the road less traveled in pitching.
We too hope more will join in but some need to figure it out first and pay a bigger price.
I am NOT questioning the value of the information on this forum. I own the DVD series and posted a lot on the old forum. Your information is excellent and I have watched nearly ALL the videos you have on here.
It appears most who have joined are in the other forums. I guess I need to “step up”………….:)
Also from the old forum and starting out at this level. I have a really hard time trusting the information at other sites. My son has made great progress since the video analysis in Sept of ’09 so why mess with what is working.
Hi Dick and all== tim_morell here…thought it would be better to have a more anon handle though…so it’s palmbeachtim…
anyway… I tried to sign up several times before but couldn’t get anything to work…glad things are easier now.
Still… I’m a little lost here. I was hoping to see our old forum topics here…I guess they are, but i’ll have to hunt around…
anyway.. I hope this works out for you, Dick. It’s a rough economy out there for all of us. We need you to be able to keep us going though!
always the best
been scouting around the site… i see that most of the old stuff is here.. didn’t find the sticky notes that were such great handy references though. (example the checklist that you used to have at the beginning of the pitching mastery forum).
Also, I didn’t see any search feature… that would be extremely helpful for us old forum members to find and pick up where we left off…
(although I see that since I changed my on screen handle, it now shows me as “newbie” ahhh well)
As you can see I had my webmaster install a big SEARCH button at the very top.
Let me go through the Checklist and clean it up and I will repost it.
u da man!
HA!!! I wonder why that doesn’t say Newbie Administrator?
I’m a newbie too on this forum.
Happy your back on. You helped me a ton on the old forum. Is that scott waz up there too?
