Just wanted to post about Angels’ program. Bought “First pitch Strike” back when it first came out but did not use it right away. I have been studying and taking notes and my son (12 yr old) used the system last night for his bullpen. The very first thing he said when we came back in was “wow, I’m not sure how to describe it but my arm feels really relaxed”. Then 30 minutes later commented on how he usually feels a little “stiff” after but he feels like he hardly threw.
I will be making sure that all of the pitchers on my team begin using this program immediately!
I also just purchased the “Pre and Post Warm up recovery”. My son is pitching tonight in a league game and has a tournament this weekend. I am excited to see his response. I will post back later with results.
I have went back & listened again (and again and again) to both teleseminars with Angel and of course watched the DVD again. I don’t recall anything being mentioned about catchers. Although they are not using “pitching mechanics” they are throwing quite a bit. When our #2 catcher was injured this past weekend, our #1 had to handle a larger workload this weekend and this week. It occurred to me to have him do the same pre & post exercises as our pitchers are doing. (and loving) He says he could definitely tell the difference the next day. My question is, would there be any “catcher specific” exercises that he can do other than the First Strike program?
