Dick, I have not bought your new book yet, but have most of the other materials. Do you still advice using sugrical tubing and 3 lb dumbbell work for arm care? I have your Ultimate Survival Guide book which speaks to these type of exercises, but I just wanted to double check. Also, do you have a company that you would recommend for the purchase of the tubing? John
On 12/17/2004 I posted an article on my blog with the study regarding stretching. That is well over a year ago that this information has been available to everyone. Below is the link where I posted this on this forum. For those interested in what I believe to be important click on my name and then All Posts Started By Dick Mills. You can then pick and choose what you are interested in. If I start a post I believe you should read it because I do not post because I have nothing else to do. It means it is important for you to know. Thus the reason why we wrote our new book. If you are truly interested in the “science” behind pitching – what is right and wrong, then it is between those 608 pages. Anyone who is posting questions here must be interested in helping their son and I would believe wants more knowledge. This means they want “evidence based” information. For those of you who are still cruising other websites looking for “tips” what you will get instead is that person’s belief…nothing more. He got his information from some other coach’s belief that was passed down to him. And those beliefs are what have screwed up thousands upon thousands of pitchers for the past twenty five years or so…who never reached their full God-given potential. For a time…I was one of them. All because they (we) listened to some idea that sounded good but nothing of substance to back it up. Thank God I started listening to sports scientists. Amazingly much of this information has been available to everyone since May of 2004 on our DVD’s and written literature. But some people don’t like change. How close-minded! Many will regret it. And their son’s will be the ones that suffer from the lack of knowledge or the one little feature that could have made the big difference. Just like our new book. Some will get it much too late. But that is their choice. Dick http://www.pitching.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17499
I was trying to find where in the website you can purchase the arm care packet? I was looking in the store under products but didn’t see it offered there. I know that I saw it in an email that was sent out some months ago but have lost it now. Any help would be nice.
