Every pitcher that will be in HS next year should be jumping up and downabout the new BBCOR bats that are mandated for use in HS next year.
Here is an article in last weeks USA Today about how these bats have affected both the offense and the pitching in the NCAA. Total runs down almost 1.5 per game, homers cut in half, batting average down 20 points, ERA down 1 run, shut outs up considerably.
In addition every hitter should take notice and learn that unless you are using your legs and body to swing the bat you WILL struggle next year. Several MLB players that have gone back to their colleges to work out have stated to a man that wood is better. The Oregon Ducks have lost 55 points off of the team batting average, how bad do you think it will be in HS next year.
Pitchers be excited, hitters learn the right swing.
